Validating Food Pantries

Q: What criteria are used to vet food pantries?
A: Food pantries are evaluated based on administrative setup, food sourcing, qualification processes for clients, donation policies, distribution frequency, refrigeration capacity, needs assessment, and annual donations (cash and in-kind).

Vetting of Potential Individual Beneficiaries

Q: How are individual recipients vetted?
A: Individual recipients are assessed based on their documented financial circumstances and needs. Either the head of household and/or the additional adult in a household must be employed, or actively seeking employment, in order to receive food from the non-profit corporation. Documentation will need to be provided to the non-profit corporation to prove employment or the active pursuit of employment. Food is provided on a periodic and occasional basis to ensure resources are distributed equitably.
